Volunteering at Notre Dame's From Old 2 Gold, the CASA office
Throughout the month of June, many brave volunteers and the CASA staff volunteered to help at Notre Dame's From Old 2 Gold sale. The annual sale held at the end of the school year benefits charities around the area that volunteer to help gather, sort, and man areas on the sale day. More than 300 people volunteered to help this year. The proceeds from the sale are then split and given to agencies based upon the hours worked. In 2009, the sale generated more than $50,000. In 2010, there were 33 semi-trailer loads of products ranging from clothes and books, to bikes and electronics. Check us out as we were hard at work:
