Voter Registration
You may look up a Vote Center, check voter registration status, and contact information for Voter Registration offices in Indiana and print out a voter registration application at the Voter Portal website. Voter Registration lookup requires an exact match to a voter. If there is not a clear match you may seek assistance at your Voter Registration Office.
You may also go the Secretary of State’s website to see Federal, State, County and Local offices on the ballot for this year as well as the candidates who have filed for them.
Voter Identification
The State of Indiana establishes these rules - Indiana's ID page
A voter must provide a government-issued photo identification before casting a ballot. A photo ID must generally meet all of the following criteria to be accepted:
- Issued by the State of Indiana or United States government
- Display an expiration date- must be current or have expired after the last General Election
- Display voter’s name, conforming to record on file with voter registration
- Display voter’s photo
In most cases an Indiana driver's license, Indiana photo identification card, US Passport or Military identification is sufficient. A student identification card from an Indiana State school may be used if it meets all four requirements listed above, but student IDs from private institutions may not be used.
