ATTENTION ALL ST. JOSEPH COUNTY RECYCLING CUSTOMERS
On January 14, 2019, a public meeting was held by the Board of Directors (Board) for the Solid Waste Management District of St. Joseph County (SWMD). With an eye on reducing costs, the Board approved that Recycling fees will now be collected as a "Special Assessment" on County Property tax rolls. $17.00 Recycling Fee and $4.50 Hazardous Waste Fee will be collected with property taxes twice annually. City of South Bend residents will no longer be billed on the Water Bill. County residents will not receive paper bills.
We do not offer large item pick up. We also have no association with leaf or yard waste pick up. If you live in the City of South Bend please call (574)233-0311. For St. Joseph County residents please call (574)213-9440.
